Absolutely loved the property!! It had a great welcoming feel that complimented an amazing neighbourhood that had me looking local property ads. Anita and Gerrie were so proactive and flexible with the check-in process. They were great at communicating information about the property and its location. Hout bay was absolutely stunning especially when the weather was clear. Just walking to the beach which is only 8min straight down the road was convenient and beautiful views of the mountains provided a gorgeous backdrop. My family and I loved our stay. I definitely give this property and its hosts 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit ruime huis. Alles wat we nodig hadden was voorhanden, het was schoon, er was wat speelgoed voor de kinderen en het zwembad bracht heerlijke verkoeling op warme dagen. We voelden ons veilig genoeg om rond te wandelen in de buurt, er zit een Spar om de hoek, het strand is op loopafstand en er zitten meer dan voldoende leuke restaurantjes in de buurt. Gerrie en Anita zijn enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze bieden hulp wanneer dat nodig is en reageren altijd heel snel!

After 4 years we visited beautiful South Africa again. Of course, without doubt, we used the services of Lobecotours Anita & Gerrie again for this holiday trip. It was amazing, we loved every minute. Anita arranged a 10 nights trip through The Garden Route. Every second night we stayed in another B&B, lodge or boutique hotel. When you thought it couldn’t get better, we were happily surprised again with our next accommodation! All worked out very well. Our last week we stayed in The Gables, just as 4 years ago. They did some nice upgrades and even loadshedding belongs to the past when you stay at The Gables! They installed solar panels, so everything keeps working, also my wifi!! This time we stayed with a group of 10 adults and there was still space enough for everybody. Anita & Gerrie thanks you for arranging this unforgettable holiday. We’ll be back! X

Anita was very accommodating regarding our late check out. The hosts reacted very quickly to messages/questions. The house has everything you need and was clean and comfortable. No load shedding worries. Good location not far from the beach and harbor. We would stay here again.

Just returned from a wonderful tour through South Africa organized by Lobecotours, ending with a wonderful stay in The Gables in Hout Bay. The Gables is fully equipped, it has 2 fully equipped kitchens, 2 living rooms, a swimming pool with whirlpool, washing machine and dryer, a braai (because that is of course part of South Africa), on-site parking for 3 cars, solar panels available. no problems with loadshedding. The house is very centrally located, restaurants, a supermarket and the bus stop are around the corner. Even the red hop-on/hop-off bus to Cape Town stops nearby. The contact with Gerrie and Anita is great, the ladies also have many great tips for activities in the area. Thank you ladies for organizing an unforgettable trip.

Heerlijk verbijf gehad in The Gables na een hele mooie rondreis georganiseerd door Lobecotours. Het huis was van alle gemakken voorzien en heerlijk om even tot rust te komen na de reis. Er waren twee complete ruime keukens in het huis, een fijn zwembad met whirlpool, lekkere bedden en eigenlijk alles wat je nodig hebt in de buurt. Verder fijn contact gehad met Gerrie en Anita voor activiteiten in en rondom Hout bay. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Een echte aanrader!

Een huis voorzien van alle gemakken. Ruime keukens waar alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig is. 4 badkamers, 5 slaapkamers. Het parkeren kan met 4 auto's dat was voor ons ruim voldoende. Een zwembad jacuzzi, super luxe was dat. Je kunt ook heerlijk buiten zitten in de fijne loungeplekken. Dat was heel fijn na een dag op pad te zijn geweest. De dames van Lobecotours hebben voor ons een prachtige rondreis uitgestippeld. Ze zijn service gericht en denken met je mee. Absoluut een aanrader.

The Gables is definitely a place I'd go back to. The pictures do not do the beauty and elegance of the place justice. The pool and jacuzzi area was a place we spent most of our time and with the house itself being immaculate in terms of cleanliness. Our host, Anita, was amazing in accommodating all our requests and although we never met personally, she was always there whenever we had any questions. As a bonus the fact that the Gables was located less than 5 mins away from shops was a big bonus. Our stay at The Gables was perfect with everything from the house to the location being better than we could've expected, of high quality. Anita, how host was exceptional in accommodating everything we needed to make our stay one to remember and the best experience we had so far in breaking away from everyday life in a peaceful, luxury setting.

The Gables is such a welcoming and homely house. We stayed here to break up our holiday between Cape Town and George. It's out of the hussle of the city, but close enough so that the city is within reach. Surrounded by the mountains, Hout Bay is a lovely town. The house is walking distance from the beach, a well-stocked Spar (supermarket) and restaurants. It had ample space and facilities for our family and friends. The jacuzzi (even if not heated) is the perfect size for small children to swim safely. The kitchen is well equip and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Anita and Gerrie were extremely responsive and accommodating. The information was clear and we felt very safe and at ease during our stay. I would highly recommend The Gables for large groups or families who need a bit of space to stretch legs and just relax.

Very centrally located in Hout Bay. Easy access to shopping. The Hout Bay beach and many restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away. A lot of space and two kitchens. Hosts were very friendly and helpful when needed. The neighborhood was quiet and tranquil and My City Bus station was just around the corner.

I cannot recommend the gables enough!!! The place is clean, spacious and has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen and a lovely size, nice big bathrooms and bedrooms all a nice size. The outside area is perfect a nice seating area to chill in the sun and a nice eating area. The pool was a lovely size and very clean. The gables was very clean and is nicely decorated and we had complimentary mid week clean. We had the best time at the gables and will defo stay again!! Check in with Anita was fab and always answered any questions promptly. The House is very secure behind big gates and electric fences with secure alarms. The location is fab, Hout Bay is a perfect central location to get around easily in Cape Town. the Hout Bay market on Friday night was brill. Great atmosphere. a fab place to stay!!! We zijn zeer tevreden over jullie leuke huis. Voorzien van alle gemakken en voldoende keukengerei e.d., prima bedden, speelgoed voor de kleintjes. Kortom we hebben genoten. Van tevoren hebben jullie voor ons ook een aantal zaken geregeld, waardoor het voor ons allemaal gladjes verliep. The Gables is a fanatic house situated in the very cool and vibrant Hout Bay. We stayed here for 5 days and will certainly be back!! Fantastic accommodation situated perfectly between Cape Town and it's beautiful surrounding areas.

We had a warm were welcome by the hosts Anita and Gerrie. The property was very spacious, neat and had all the facilities you could imagine. Enough space for all 7 persons in our travelling party. Because of the winter temperatures, the wood burner was superb on the cold winter mornings and nights. Restaurants, petrol station, supermarket are just around the corner, beach is only a walk away. For us it was a good base the explore Cape Town and its surroundings. This house is a good value for money with the superb hosts Anita and Gerrie. Highly recommended!

Hello Anita & Gerrie. Firstly, thank you for the very professional and friendly welcome to the facility. We found the accommodation very neat, clean and tidy and so well stocked with an array of spices, and every-day items which is really helpful if one did not have the necessary items on hand on your arrival. This is a very nice touch and so thoughtful!! We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation even in spite of the drought situation and the location is just so central to any direction but close enough not to be 'remote'. The location in the heart of Hout Bay could not have been better with great restaurants and all amenities on our doorstep. Having a modern kitchen with all the necessary appliances (including the washing machine and dryer) really helped make our stay as comfortable as possible. Even though it was chilly we were never cold during our stay there, we enjoyed the indoor fireplace. Thanks Anita and Gerrie. This was the perfect spot. We used it for a work meeting - it was great convenient to shops, cafes, restaurants. And close to the beach for evening walks. Amazing location near to Chapman's Peak. Stunning! So we were able to do some great site seeing as well as work. Loved the house. Everything was perfect. Slight issue with hot water but thanks, Anita, you were soooo persistent at sorting it out. Loved the spaces in the house and garden, great kitchen and dining space, two comfortable lounge areas and an outside lounge and dining area. We used all of them!!!! Loved the spaces especially that huge dining table, but also the lounge area. The bedrooms worked well. We kind of ranged around the house sometimes at the dining table. Sometimes in the lounge space. We had one meeting (on a sunny day) in the lounge area outside and we had out final lunch together at the table outdoors. The location was perfect so easy to get to everything. It was also nice to have some coffee and tea when we got there. Loved it. very relaxed and a great space to spend time in. Thanks once again for a very enjoyable stay and a highly productive week.

We've rented quite a few holiday homes over the years and found the Gables to be a very well equipped home with plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. Also the kitchen appliances were first class.
